Luna Wellness started as a one-practitioner chiropractic office in 2013 to see prenatal and postpartum mamas.

Over ten years later, it has flourished into offering chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture as a staple of Portland’s community. It continues to provide excellent care during some of a woman’s most extraordinary transitions and moments in life.

All too often, mothers lose touch with themselves- they suffer quietly and alone- sometimes depressed, stuck, & exhausted. It’s time to put aside the mom guilt! Making time for yourself and refilling your cup will only fuel you even more to do all the things a mama needs to do.. which we KNOW is a lot!

We offer nurturing bodywork, products to use at home, and an ECOSYSTEM of FIERCE, feminist support to assist in the never-ending process of giving yourself time to get some self-care in.

LUNA is a place to heal yourself, Find deep restoration, support within the community, and a moment to recharge, so you can continue to be the best version of you not only for the people you love in your life but also for yourself.

We aim to provide bodywork, a safe space for deep relaxation, events, and services that we believe center around a person’s ability to become connected, grounded, and balanced with what is needed during the various parts of life. As humans, we change, adapt, and grow- yet stay consistent and learn to keep moving forward.

  • Celebration when you start your cycle for the first time.

Hannah Fazendin, LMT

MASSAGE THERAPIST

  • DESCRIBE A TREATMENT WITH YOU?

Bodies have a lot to say, so every treatment is a conversation. I listen and hold space to receive the messages of pain and discomfort the body has to share, and since every body and each day in it is different, every treatment is a customized response. Our nervous systems hold the keys to unlocking and releasing what we've stored in our bodies, so I take time to activate the 'rest and digest' state as the first step to facilitating deep healing. I encourage the body to let go of whatever it thinks it needs to be holding so tightly, to soften, and to make space. Often my work is gentle and subtle, which can have a much deeper impact than our 'no pain, no gain' culture has conditioned us to believe.

I specialize in nervous system work, including Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy. I am fascinated by the intersection of science and mysticism, and I think 'magic' is a word we use for the real things that science hasn't yet learned how to measure or talk about. Working with the myofascial and craniosacral systems feels like exactly that - magic.

    FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB?

There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone feel safe, at peace, and at ease in their body. Living is hard work, and it's really special to bring someone a moment of calm and softness.

    YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

My ideal client trusts me to hear their body's signals and understands that healing takes time.

    FAVORITE QUOTE?

There is no time to rush.

    WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED?

I grew up in Ridgefield, Washington, went to college in Seattle, and have lived in Portland for the greater part of 15 years. I lived with my sister in Palm Springs, California for the months surrounding the births of each of her 4 children and spent a year nannying for my brother's newborn in Birmingham, Alabama. I'm a very proud auntie!

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH THE MOST?

ONE THING YOU DO EVERY SINGLE DAY

I try to write 3 pages of stream of consciousness every morning à la Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way.

A MEMORABLE MOMENT THAT GOT YOU IN THIS LINE OF WORK

I have been impacted by symptoms of CPTSD for most of my life and learning techniques to work directly with my nervous system through my body, below the conscious level of my mind, has profoundly changed my experience of the world for the better.
