Maybe you’ve heard of it. But exactly what is it?
The word "yoni" comes from Sanskrit and is traditionally translated as "womb," "source," "sacred space," or "origin." In Hindu traditions, it symbolizes creation, fertility, and the divine feminine. Today, the term is often used in holistic wellness spaces as a respectful and empowering way to refer to the female reproductive and pelvic area.
Yoni steaming is a traditional wellness practice used across many cultures that involves sitting over warm herbal steam to encourage rest, ritual, connection, and pelvic care. People may explore steaming for relaxation, menstrual support, postpartum nourishment, or simply as a way to slow down and reconnect with their body in an intentional and grounding way.
At our upcoming workshop with Rachel, our acupuncturist, you’ll learn about the history and considerations of steaming, explore different herbs and their traditional uses, and create your own personalized herbal steam blend to take home. This event is centered around education, curiosity, and community.
